Avoid Diabetes Early

Avoiding diabetes can be hard if you don't know how to take advantage of the foods you eat or exercising. Nowadays there is fast food and high starchy foods that can lead your body to the wrong path and eventually you'll end of with diabetes. I am going to explain some tips on how to avoid diabetes all the way around.

First, plan your meals throughout each day so you will know what to eat and you won't be just picking out foods to eat. This lead to eating the wrong foods. Pick foods with high fiber like whole grain breads such as bagels and muffins, cereals like Fiber One and All Bran, fruits like berries and prunes, and vegetables like broccoli and dried beans. This foods will lead to a healthier body on the inside and out. Eating foods with more fiber tend to be better for your colon and it breaks down food so you can keep your weight down as well.

Second, drink plenty of water everyday. At least 8 glasses of water. If it is hard to drink water by itself, add some lemon to your water to give it flavor. Avoid drinking sodas and high in calorie drinks because it has more sugars than other anything. Try drinking diet cranberry juice instead because it has less sugars and is very good for your bladder as well.

Avoiding Diabetes Continued

Third, stay away from high in starch foods like rice, white bread, and potatoes. These are very starchy foods and will clog your body and gives you high risk on developing diabetes. If your family has a history of diabetes especially stay away from foods like these. Develop a diary of foods that you can eat rather than the starchy foods. That way you can start fixing meals revolving around the diary and making better choices on what foods to eat.

Fourth, exercise, exercise, and exercise.. It is good for your body and it boosts your energy to keep a healthy weight. If you are starting out with exercise, take your time in developing a routine so you won't be so eager to quit. Start out exercising twice a week and keep at it. You can start by walking around the track at a local park and then as your body starts to get accustomed to it, start jogging. This is good for your heart and burns the calories twice as fast than walking.

I know it may take a little time but you will get use to it and keep at it. Developing diabetes means you are going to the wrong path, try putting yourself on the right track and eating healthy and exercising. To be honest, my family has a history of diabetes. At this moment, my mom has diabetes. I am at risk for diabetes myself because I am overweight but I am making changes in my eating and exercising at least 3 times a week. I am starting to lose the weight. It is hard but I know if I keep at it, I will be very healthy because I don't want to develop diabetes and put myself at risk. So, I am inspiring my mom and she is inspiring me to remain free of diabetes and to keep healthy. Thanks for reading this hub and hope if you are risk of diabetes to change your life for good and to keep healthy so you can live and add more years to your life.
